Michael S. Kleinman, M.D.

Michael S. Kleinman, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (MedPeds) at UTHSC and Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program. Dr. Kleinman specializes in primary care Internal Medicine (with Baptist Memorial Healthcare) and inpatient Pediatrics. He serves as the Continuity Clinic director for the MedPeds residents and is the Director of the Transitional Care program at Lebonheur Children's Hospital for children with chronic diseases who are becoming adults. He has lectured on the clinical significance of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in pediatric and complex care populations.

Mike graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) where he served as Chief Resident.
