ASCVD Best Practices Learning Collaborative

AMGA Foundation, with support from Amgen and Novartis, launched a 15-month initiative focused on helping medical groups develop strategies to improve the management and treatment of patients with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD).

The ASCVD Best Practices Learning Collaborative is designed to provide a platform for participating organizations to improve their clinical performance in the treatment of established ASCVD through the development and implementation of quality improvement projects, best practice sharing, and peer-to-peer learning.

Fifteen healthcare organizations were selected to participate in the Collaborative:

Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) Best Practices Learning Collaborative Meeting Summary

The Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) Virtual Discussion Forum occurred on September 13, 2022. This 90-minute moderated session, in collaboration with Novartis and AMGEN, engaged Collaborative participating organizations in an interactive discussion focused on helping medical groups develop strategies to improve the management and treatment of patients with established ASCVD. The top four challenges or motivating needs in successful ASCVD care were discussed, including patient awareness and education, affordable treatment for high-risk patients, care coordination, and disparities in care.
