Beyond the Bottom Line

Medical groups have seen their margins become tighter and tighter over the past several years. The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated the situation, and organizational resiliency has become a primary concern for medical groups and health systems. In order to survive in an increasingly volatile environment, they need to be highly focused on financial and operational performance in the areas that are within their control. The authors present five areas where leaders can optimize operational efficiency and enhance financial accountability to sustain resilient, healthy organizations.
