Comprehensive Approach to Infant RSV Protection Quality and Innovation Collective (QuIC)

AMGA’s new Comprehensive Approach to Infant RSV Protection Quality and Innovation Collective (QuIC) is a three-phase national quality improvement initiative, designed to help healthcare organizations develop and implement effective strategies to improve infant RSV immunization rates and close critical protection gaps across medical groups and integrated delivery systems

The Infant RSV Protection QuIC utilizes interactive workshops with quality improvement tools and qualitative methodology to engage AMGA member organizations in thoughtful discussions to collect insights and share best practices on creating and implementing successful RSV immunization initiatives.

Participating organizations will focus on five key areas:

      • Closing the Protection Gap — Addressing immunization gaps for infants eligible for RSV protection, including high-risk infants requiring prophylaxis during their second RSV season
      • Seamless Care Journey — Improving care transitions between hospital and ambulatory settings and addressing missed opportunities across the care continuum
      • Trust-Based Communication — Leveraging trusted provider relationships to address vaccine hesitancy and developing culturally responsive patient education strategies
      • Technology Enablement — Supporting EHR integration, mother-infant-linking solutions, and patient identification and outreach systems
      • Health Equity — Ensuring access and education for underserved communities and addressing disparities in RSV protection rates

The Infant RSV Protection QuIC includes a virtual discussion forum, a two-day in-person meeting, and a two-day virtual meeting.
