Marc Harrison, MD, CEO, Health Assurance Transformation Corporation (HATCo)
Marc Harrison, MD is a global healthcare leader, recognized for healthcare transformation and health equity advocacy. He is a pediatric critical care physician, and is the former president and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare. Dr. Harrison has joined the venture capital firm General Catalyst (GC) to launch and lead Health Assurance Transformation Corporation (HATCo), a new business owned by GC with the mission to deliver health and
wellness collaboratively, compassionately, and courageously—for all people. With this launch came an announcement of plans to acquire and operate a health system to demonstrate the blueprint of this transformation for the rest of the industry.
In his joint council session presentation, Dr. Harrison will speak to how HATCo focuses on investment in innovation using new revenue streams, creating a stakeholder collaboration playbook and aligning incentives to demonstrate that value-based care is the model better for patients and for healthcare organizations.
