LEAP

Overview
AMGA LEAP (Leadership & Executive Accelerator Program) is an exclusive mentorship and leadership development experience for high-potential healthcare leaders. Over 12 months, participants gain direct access to senior healthcare executives, expert-led discussions, and personalized mentorship, preparing them to navigate today’s most pressing industry challenges.
Participants engage in monthly virtual sessions focused on critical industry topics, alongside one-on-one mentorship to deepen learning and facilitate leadership growth.
Join LEAP to gain strategic insights, expand your professional network, and take your leadership to the next level.
What to Expect
LEAP is designed to be an interactive and high-impact experience. Participants commit to:
- Monthly Virtual Sessions (60–75 minutes) featuring expert presentations, interactive discussions, and breakout sessions on critical leadership topics for the entire cohort (mentees and mentors)
- Monthly One-on-One Mentorship (30–60 minutes) for leadership development and gaining deeper insights into leadership challenges
- Exclusive Private Community access for mentors and mentees to ask questions, exchange strategies, and build lasting professional relationships.
This program is built to fit into busy schedules while maximizing learning and relationship building.

Mentorship
Mentorship is at the heart of LEAP, creating a space for healthcare leaders to share wisdom, challenge perspectives, and provide guidance over the course of the 12-months. AMGA strives to pair clinicians to clinicians and non-clinicians to non-clinicians while taking into consideration location.
- Flexible & Personalized: Each mentor-mentee pair sets their own meeting schedule and agenda, ensuring discussions align with professional goals
- Structured Guidance: AMGA provides suggested monthly discussion topics (sample agenda) to help guide conversations while allowing customization
- Commitment & Expectations: All participants complete a Mentorship Agreement outlining mutual expectations for engagement, communication, and participation in LEAP activities
After 12 months, the formal mentorship concludes, but participants retain access to the LEAP network and can continue informal mentorship at their discretion.
Mentee Application and Deadlines

Want to Become a Mentor?
All AMGA senior leaders, especially C-suite, SVPs, and VPs, are eligible to be a mentor.
As a mentor, you’ll be matched to one mentee for the duration of the 12 months. Early in the process, we’ll inquire as to whether there are any special requests we take into consideration before we begin pairing mentors to mentees.
Technically, the only time commitment is one 30 minute meeting with your mentee each month. You and the mentee determine the exact day, time, and format (face to face, virtually, or over the phone) and we’ll provide you with a suggested agenda to help guide the conversation – although you are welcome to alter it as necessary.
We do advise mentors to also attend the monthly virtual sessions, if available, as these are the basis for the suggested agendas we distribute and is another opportunity to network with other mentors and mentees during breakout discussions.
Once the 12 months is up, the formal mentorship is dissolved. If the two of you want to continue the relationship, you’re welcome to do so and adapt it to whatever fits your situations best. You are, however, welcome to participate as a mentor (to a new mentee) again in any future cohorts – even if you remain in touch with your original mentee.
For more information or to volunteer as a mentor, please contact Joe.
