Alexandria, VA – In recognition of its ongoing support and partnership, AMGA has named Amgen as the recipient of its 2023 Distinguished Corporate Partner Award.

Each year, AMGA presents the Distinguished Corporate Partner Award to an industry partner that supports the team model of healthcare delivery and develops programs and services to help medical groups and health systems deliver high-quality, low-cost care.

Amgen was honored for its commitment to furthering collaboration with health systems and medical groups to find solutions for improved health outcomes for patients with chronic and preventable diseases. Amgen’s support of AMGA’s Osteoporosis and ASCVD (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease) Best Practices Learning Collaboratives and participation in the Chronic Care Roundtable shows their dedication to working with AMGA members toward dramatically improving population health and care for patients.

In addition to their participation in AMGA collaboratives, Amgen has been a Premier Corporate Partner for five years.

“We are deeply appreciative of Amgen’s support of AMGA programs and their commitment to improving population health and health equity,” said Jerry Penso, MD, MBA, AMGA president and CEO. “Amgen has repeatedly demonstrated their support and dedication to value-based care rooted in science and innovation to treat patients with serious illnesses. We look forward to continuing to improve patient care with them into the future.”

“Amgen is dedicated to helping address population health for millions of people living with serious illnesses like ASCVD and osteoporosis,” said Dr. Jyothis George, global & U.S. Medical Therapeutic area head, General Medicine, at Amgen. “Improving outcomes in these patients is going to take a coordinated effort from multiple stakeholders, which is why we’re proud to partner with AMGA on Osteoporosis Best Practices Learning Collaborative and the ASCVD Best Practices Learning Collaborative. AMGA has been a fantastic partner in this and together we can help bend the curve in public health.”

Amgen received this award at AMGA’s 2023 Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
