Medical Group Physician Executive Joins AMGA Consulting

Alexandria, VA – Kevin McCune, M.D., has joined AMGA Consulting as chief physician executive. In this role, Dr. McCune will utilize his physician leadership perspective and skillset to support the firm’s compensation, performance management, and operational and care model improvement services. He will also support AMGA’s overall focus on expanding value-based care.

Dr. McCune brings more than 20 years of clinical experience, along with extensive experience in hospice and palliative care. Prior to his role with AMGA Consulting, Dr. McCune was system vice president for Advocate Aurora Health and chief medical officer at Advocate Medical Group, as well as senior medical director for Advocate Aurora Health at Home. He has served in both governance and administrative roles and has provided guidance and change management assistance to physicians and advanced practice clinicians.

Dr. McCune earned a combined bachelor and master’s degree in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology from Northwestern University. He also holds a medical degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Medicine.
