Healthcare Leaders to Gather in Orlando at AMGA’s 2024 Annual Conference

AMGA will convene leaders from medical groups and integrated systems of care at its 2024 Annual Conference on April 9-12 at Rosen Single Creek in Orlando, Florida. The meeting brings together leaders from across the country to collaborate, share learnings, and make connections.

Speakers Include Marc Harrison, Carla Harris, Jeremy Gutsche, John Heilemann, and Mark McKinnon

Alexandria, VA – AMGA will convene leaders from medical groups and integrated systems of care at its 2024 Annual Conference on April 9-12 at Rosen Single Creek in Orlando, Florida. The meeting brings together leaders from across the country to collaborate, share learnings, and make connections. 

The four keynote speakers for AMGA’s 2024 Annual Conference will be Carla Harris, Jeremy Gutsche, John Heilemann, and Mark McKinnon. 

Carla Harris is a senior client advisor at Morgan Stanley with extensive industry experiences in the technology, media, retail, telecommunications, transportation, industrial, and healthcare sectors. In 2013, Harris was appointed by President Barack Obama to chair the National Women’s Business Council. Her opening keynote at the 2024 Annual Conference will share the key traits of being a transformational leader and the essential skills necessary to succeed. 

Jeremy Gutsche is a New York Times bestselling author, one of the world’s top innovation keynote speakers, and the CEO of Trend Hunter. Gutsche and his team advise over 1,100 brands, ranging from Google to Coca-Cola to Sony and IBM. During his interactive keynote presentation, participants will get an unrivaled look into the future underpinned by artificial intelligence and how this innovation will impact healthcare.  

John Heilemann has covered national affairs for the past three decades, earning a place as one of America’s most prominent and vital voices on politics and public policy. He is a co-founder of Recount Media and the editor-in-chief of The Recount, as well as co-host and executive producer of The Circus, a weekly political documentary series on Showtime. 

Mark McKinnon is a political advisor, reform advocate, media columnist, and television producer. He has worked for many causes, companies, and candidates, including President George W. Bush, Senator John McCain, and Bono. McKinnon is the creator, executive producer, and co-host of Showtime’s real-time political documentary series The Circus

In the closing general session of the 2024 Annual Conference, McKinnon and Heilemann will share their unique perspectives on politics and communications, revealing the implications of the 2024 election, as well as opportunities. 

Leading the Joint Council Session is keynote speaker Marc Harrison, a global healthcare leader and CEO of Health Assurance Transformation Corporation (HATCo). A pediatric critical care physician, Harrison is recognized for healthcare transformation and health equity advocacy. His presentation will speak to how HATCo focuses on investment in innovation, including aligning incentives to demonstrate that value-based care is the model better for patients and for healthcare organization. This session is limited to medical groups only. 

These keynote speakers will be augmented by presentations featuring leaders from the nation’s leading medical groups and health systems. Dozens of presentations and poster sessions will share groundbreaking strategies and innovations, covering topics such as:

•    Operational excellence

•    Workforce challenges

•    Health equity
