AMGA Welcomes Dr. Matthew Mulder as Director, Western Region

Alexandria, VA – Matthew Mulder, M.D., M.M.M., has joined AMGA as director, Western Region. In this role, Dr. Mulder will utilize his extensive care delivery and healthcare administrative experience to liaise between AMGA’s headquarters and members in the Pacific Northwest, the Rocky Mountain region, and California. He will also support AMGA’s member retention and development, as well as new member acquisition efforts.

Dr. Mulder brings more than 25 years of clinical and healthcare management experience, both in the U.S. and in Southeast Asia. He has extensive experience managing physicians, growing healthcare organizations, lean process improvement techniques, and change management in large healthcare systems. Dr. Mulder will serve in this new role on a part-time basis while also retaining his full-time responsibilities as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Director – Ambulatory Services at UW Medicine/Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington.

Dr. Mulder holds a medical degree from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree in medical management from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree in business/accounting from Washington State University.
