Pharmacy Quality Alliance Appoints AMGA CEO to Executive Committee

Alexandria, VA – The Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) has named AMGA President and CEO Jerry Penso, M.D., M.B.A., secretary of its 2019 Executive Committee.

PQA’s Board and Executive Committee members represent a variety of healthcare industry segments, including providers, payers, advocacy groups, pharmaceutical companies, and service providers.

“While PQA board members come from diverse segments of healthcare, we are united by our shared goal of improving patient outcomes,” said Penso. “AMGA members, who provide health care for one in three Americans, are one of the key components to achieve PQA’s mission of advancing the quality of medication use.”

Penso’s appointment is effective January 1. He is currently an active member of PQA’s Board of Directors. A full list of PQA’s Board and Executive Committee roster changes can be found on the PQA website.
