AMGA to Host Healthcare Decision Makers at 2023 Annual Conference

AMGA will host its 2023 Annual Conference on March 28-31 at Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, IL. The meeting brings together leaders from medical groups and integrated systems of care around the country to share the best practices and strategies for success in health care. 

Alexandria, VA – AMGA will host its 2023 Annual Conference on March 28-31 at Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, IL. The meeting brings together leaders from medical groups and integrated systems of care around the country to share the best practices and strategies for success in health care. 

The four keynote speakers for AMGA’s 2023 Annual Conference will be José Andrés, Judy Faulkner, Scott Gottlieb, M.D., and Joan Higginbotham.

José Andrés is an internationally-recognized culinary innovator, author, educator, humanitarian, and chef/owner of José Andrés Group, as well as founder of World Central Kitchen. Recipient of the 2015 National Humanities Medal, Andrés is a committed advocate for food and hunger issues and is known for championing the role of chefs in the national debate on food policy. Andrés will shed light on changing the world through the power of food. 

Judy Faulkner is founder and CEO of Epic Systems, an American privately held healthcare software company. Originally founded in a Wisconsin basement, Epic Systems now holds medical records of over 200 million individuals. Faulkner will share insight on the future of digital health.

Scott Gottlieb, M.D., is a physician and served as the 23rd Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Gottlieb’s work focuses on advancing public health through developing and implementing innovative approaches to improving medical outcomes. Gottlieb’s session will focus on COVID-19’s impact on health care and how we can defeat the next pandemic. 

Joan Higginbotham is an electrical engineer and former NASA astronaut. She is the third African American woman to go into space. Higginbotham actively participated in 53 space shuttle launches during her nine years at Kennedy Space Center and logged over 300 hours in space during her tenure. Higginbotham will offer a unique perspective on managing stress in high-stakes environment. 

These keynote session speakers will join more than 100 other leaders from the nation’s preeminent medical groups and health systems. Across a total of 30 presentations, they will share their groundbreaking strategies and innovations, covering topics such as:
