Daniel M. Duncanson, MD, CPE

Director

Dan has nearly 30 years of experience as an internal medicine/primary care physician, practice administrator, and independent practice owner.  He serves as chief executive officer and board chair of SIMEDHealth, LLC, the largest independent multispecialty healthcare system in north central Florida. 

He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Oglethorpe University, Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida, and completed his residency at the University of Florida.  He is a member of the AMGA’s Public Policy Committee, CEO Council, and Independent Medical Group Council and has participated in Annual Conferences, IQL conferences, and Capitol Hill Day.  He has spoken at regional, state and national meetings on a variety of subjects, including population health, integrated health systems, leadership development, physician recruitment, and the COVID-19 pandemic. 

He and his wife have four children and reside in Gainesville, Florida.
