This article explores both short- and long-term trends in compensation and productivity for primary care physicians, specialty physicians, and advanced practice clinicians (APCs), as revealed in the AMGA 2023 Medical Group Compensation and Productivity Survey. Key findings include year-over-year changes in compensation and wRVUs for primary care, medical, and surgical specialties, as well as shifts observed between 2021 and 2022 for APCs. Additionally, the article provides a three-year analysis of survey demographic data and highlights significant changes in compensation patterns.
