Ryan O’Connor Named Interim AMGA President and CEO

ALEXANDRIA, VA – AMGA today announced the appointment of Ryan O’Connor, M.B.A., CAE, to the position of Interim President and CEO effective immediately. Mr. O’Connor succeeds the late Donald W. Fisher, Ph.D., CAE, who passed away in March 2017. His appointment was recommended by the AMGA Succession Planning Committee and unanimously approved by the AMGA Board of Directors.

With more than 20 years’ tenure in his current position of AMGA’s Vice President of Membership and Marketing, Mr. O’Connor brings a deep knowledge of the healthcare industry to his new role.

The interim appointment starts immediately and will continue until a new President and CEO is appointed. The search process for a permanent President and CEO is underway.
