AMGA COVID-19 Pulse Survey Results
Survey: Financial Improvement Efforts
July 6, 2020
Thank you to the 85 participants in our eighth COVID-19 pulse survey, focused on financial improvement efforts. As with previous surveys, responses have come from all over the country and are fairly evenly split between independent groups and health systems. Demographics of the participants along with additional information can be found on the AMGA COVID-19 webpage.
Results from the financial improvement efforts survey shows that a majority of groups have transitioned from short term responses to long term or preparedness goals for financial improvement. Groups are utilizing a variety of tactics to reduce expenses, with staffing and compensation at the top of the list. On the revenue side, groups are prioritizing access to care through the expansion of telehealth, volume growth and increased access/patient care hours as a way to enhance revenue impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
This week, AMGA launched a new Pulse Survey on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. A separate email was sent with the survey.
If you have any questions about the AMGA pulse survey program, please contact Danielle DuBord. If there is a topic you want to learn more about from other medical groups, please let us know as we may include it in a future pulse survey.
