Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Collaborative

The Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Collaborative created a community of knowledge that can help participants accelerate systematic change and make lasting breakthroughs in quality patient care and service that meets and exceeds expectations.

Participation in the MIPS Collaborative helped groups develop strategies to achieve success in all four MIPS domains, implement MIPS educational and engagement programs for their organizations, understand where the organization’s relative performance is compared to each benchmarks and measure organizational performance, and understand Quality Resource Use Reports (QRURs) and opportunities for improvement.

How Did the Collaborative Work?
Participating organizations were able to regularly network with peers and have the opportunity to learn and share best practices through:

  • Three in-person meetings

  • Monthly webinars

  • Online resources - a dedicated website for collaborative participant material sharing and a listserv for idea sharing and collaboration

  • Consultation from AMGA in the field

Seventeen member organizations participated in the Collaborative. The Collaborative commenced March 2017 and concluded in July 2018.
