AMGA Opposes Medicaid Cuts
AMGA today voiced strong opposition to the more than $700 billion in Medicaid cuts included in pending House legislation. Spending cuts of that magnitude would force AMGA members into an untenable situation, necessitating elimination of services for Medicaid patients, layoffs, and facility closures.

AMGA Raises Alarm Over Potential Impact of Proposed Medicaid Cuts on Healthcare Access
Today, AMGA wrote to Congressional leadership regarding the devastating consequences of potential Medicaid funding reductions in the upcoming budget reconciliation package. A recent AMGA member survey shows 85% of respondents are considering eliminating services.
