Techniques for Managing Provider Compensation and Productivity
Fred Horton, President, and Wayne Hartley, Vice President, AMGA Consulting

Payroll is the single largest expense for essentially all medical groups. Building upon the discussion in the previous session, we will present a methodology for in-depth review of physician and APP productivity and compensation. We will discuss strategies that medical groups are implementing to improve productivity, particularly for experienced physicians/providers whose performance is in the bottom quartile of the survey data. New compensation models, including panel size and salary approaches, will be presented.

Assessing Professional Revenue Cycle for Improved Financial Performance
Wayne Hartley, Vice President, AMGA Consulting

Proactive management of revenue cycle processes can prevent rework and facilitate timely and accurate reimbursement. In this session, we will review key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle and discuss tactics to reduce rejections and denials. Time will be dedicated to analytic approaches to drill deeper into denials to identify more opportunities for improvement.
