the Council's next meeting!
The Council is a trusted network of Government
Affairs/Relations Directors engaged in their organizations' efforts to continuously improve health care delivery systems, who work to communicate that message to our elected officials on Capitol Hill.
The Council's current chair is Russ Molloy (Senior Vice President, Government
Relations, Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Group) with Kathy Keough (Director of Government
Affairs, Atrius Health) serving as past chair.
Members of the Council are committed to sharing ideas,
strategies and information with colleagues facing similar challenges
and to building stronger professional connections with their peers in
similar positions and organizations. This is achieved through various mediums
including face-to-face meetings, webinars, and a dedicated listserv reserved
solely for members of the Council. Topics members will focus on include:
-
Getting your leadership engaged in advocacy
-
The current and immediate future state of legislative and regulatory
affairs
-
Engaging internal staff for responses to regulations
-
Aligning advocacy and communication functions
Council members must be willing
to actively work together on activities which can accelerate collective learning, reduce the
costs of innovation and discovery, and facilitate the transfer of new
knowledge to the larger community of AMGA members.
