What Our Members Say

"The CAO/COO Council is a tremendously valuable resource for me. Building connections with people who’ve struggled with the issues I’m facing at the in-person meetings and augmenting that through our Council’s listserv has been a great help to me. There is a true sense of comraderie within the council, I value the professional and personal network that has resulted from my involvement.  It’s a group you really have to be a part of."
- Kim Sherbrooke, MHA, FACMPE; Vice President, Johns Hopkins Medicine; Chief Operating Officer, Office of Johns Hopkins Physicians

Members of the Council are committed to sharing ideas, strategies and information with colleagues facing similar challenges and to building stronger professional connections with their peers in similar positions and organizations. This is achieved through various mediums including face-to-face meetings, webinars, and a dedicated listserv reserved solely for Council members. Topics members have focused on include:

  • Value based compensation.

  • Call center development and implementation.

  • Unifying culture in a value-based environment.

  • Best practices related to scribe utilization.

Council members must be willing to actively work together on activities which can accelerate collective learning, reduce the costs of innovation and discovery, and facilitate the transfer of new knowledge to the larger community of AMGA members.
