Former Adena Medical Group Executive Joins AMGA as New Vice President of Consulting

Alexandria, VA – AMGA Consulting welcomes former Adena Medical Group (AMG) President Scott Griffin, M.P.H., CMPE, as its newest vice president. In his new role, Griffin will focus on delivering AMGA Consulting’s operational and financial improvement services, as well as revenue cycle and compensation redesign projects.

Griffin comes to AMGA Consulting with more than three decades of healthcare administration and consulting experience. He has provided executive leadership for physician groups and health systems in both nonprofit and for-profit settings. He specializes in identifying and remedying operational inefficiencies and driving financial performance.

As president of AMG, Griffin developed a new governance and managerial structure, and a new value-based compensation plan for its clinicians. He also was responsible for increasing physician engagement by 43% and for recruiting 93 physicians. Under the guidance of Griffin and the members of his executive leadership team, AMG’s ACO was the highest performing ACO in Ohio.

Griffin’s other executive leadership appointments include serving as regional vice president of Franciscan Medical Group, executive director of The Reading Hospital Medical Group, vice president of Culbert Healthcare Solutions, chief executive officer of Robert Wood Johnson Physician Enterprise, P.A., chief executive officer of King’s Daughter’s Clinic, P.A., president of Covenant Medical Group, chief operations officer of Fond Du Lac Regional Clinic, and vice president of Central DuPage Hospital.

Griffin holds a Master of Public Health degree from Yale University, and a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) designation
