These sessions will present the latest from Capitol Hill, bringing together AMGA public policy department staff, member groups, and other political movers and shakers.

Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. AMGA Federal Legislative and Regulatory Update
Chester A. "Chet" Speed, J.D., LL.M., Vice President, Public Policy; George H. Roman, Senior Director of Health Policy; Karen S. Ferguson, Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs; Christina Dabkowski, J.D., Manager, Congressional Affairs; and Garrett Eberhardt, Legislative Coordinator, American Medical Group Association

This panel discussion will provide an overview of the healthcare agenda for Congress and the top issues affecting medical groups and physicians. Topics to be covered include ACO regulations, if published as anticipated, and other topics related to healthcare reform implementation activities, including Medicare reform, physician payment, access to care for the uninsured, and other timely legislative and regulatory issues.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to debate current legislative issues of importance to medical groups; and discuss how to become more involved in grass roots advocacy to help promote coordinated care.
