AMGA's Board
of Directors is composed of five officers and eleven at-large
directors, who serve three-year terms. The association's Chief
Executive Officer serves on the Board in a non-voting capacity. The
Executive Committee is composed of the five officers elected from
among the Board of Directors to provide leadership and direction.
AMGAs Board of Governors consists of the top two
physician and/or administrative leaders from each member medical group
and is responsible for implementing AMGAs national initiatives. It
also provides a vehicle for the leadership of every major medical
group in the country to come together, share information and
resources, and collectively improve the profession.
The day-to-day business affairs of AMGA
are managed by a full service staff of
individuals who have the training and background to execute the
various management, financial, data collection and analysis, education
and training, clerical, and support functions fulfilled by the
association. AMGA maintains offices in Alexandria, VA, Mt. Vernon, WA, and Atlanta, GA.
