AMGA Initiatives

AMGA continually determines the needs of its member groups and responds by providing programs and services to meet those needs, as well as spearheading initiatives to represent their interests and further the mission of the association.

Anceta: A comprehensive data warehouse that will provide profound value back to participating medical groups. Anceta is the only national effort to collect and share critical information across non-affiliated medical group organizations.

CAPP: The Council of Accountable Physician Practices (CAPP) is a joint undertaking by some of the nation's largest and most prominent physician practices to foster the evolution and development of the accountable physician group model.

Leadership Councils: Special networking groups according to roles within the member group organization committed to sharing ideas, strategies, and information. The list of council participation opportunities is as follows:

CEO/Chair/President Council

QI Council

CAO/COO Council

HR Council

CMO/Medical Director Council

Marketing/PR Council

CFO Council

Compliance Officers Council

CIO Council

Council of Attorneys

Medical Liability Reform: AMGA advocates the enactment of federal liability reform.

Results-Based Payment System (RPS)is an initiative to design and implement a reimbursement system that rewards care quality and results. RPS would align the positive attributes of the current payment process with a reimbursement system based on appraisal of quality care and appropriate outcomes.

Simplifying Initiative: Simplifying the American Health Care System is an initiative for physicians and patients to take back the reins in driving the progress of our health care system.
