The AMGA Leadership Councils are networks of individuals in
leadership positions within their medical groups. Members of these
Councils are committed to sharing ideas, strategies, and information
with colleagues facing similar challenges. They build stronger
professional connections with their peers in similar positions and
organizations. Council members must be willing to actively work
together on mutually beneficial studies, projects, or other activities
that can accelerate collective learning, reduce the costs of
innovation and discovery, and facilitate the transfer of new knowledge
to the larger community of AMGA members.
Following are the Council Member Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Identify gaps in information, data, or benchmarks needed by
Council members to be more effective in their jobs
- Help keep AMGA staff apprised of current issues and challenges
being faced within member medical groups
- Participate in studies, projects, or other activities determined
to be priorities by the Council
- Willingly and openly share ideas, strategies, and information
with other members of the Council
- Agree to attend all Council meetings and events
- Communicate the work of the Council within the members’ home
organizations
