Position: Medical Director for Surgical Oncology

South Florida

Memorial Healthcare System, conveniently located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, in Hollywood, Florida, is seeking a Medical Director for Surgical Oncology to lead their program within the highly successful Memorial Healthcare System Comprehensive Cancer Institute (MCCI). You will have Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) approved fellowship training and join us from a leadership role within a respected cancer institute.

You will bring a passion for quality cancer care and the ability to communicate and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary program that includes hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, thoracic surgery, surgical oncology and gynecologic oncology. In addition to your strong general surgical oncology skills, you will have an area of sub-specialty expertise (GI, esophageal, hepato-billiary, endocrine, soft tissue, or sarcoma preferred). Must have a proven track record of quality care, excellent outcomes and significant volume with complex cases in your area of expertise. Spanish language skills are a plus for this role.

In addition to your surgical responsibilities, you will work with leaders and administration to develop and/or implement policies and procedures guiding efficient operations, quality patient care delivery and outcomes, positive provider and staff relations and more. You'll provide vision for the growth of surgical oncology and will have the opportunity to recruit additional physician talent in order to expand sub-specialty service offerings.
