
Position: VP Ambulatory Clinics
EMC is a 470-bed regional medical center in Rancho Mirage, CA renowned for its standards of excellence in cardiology, cardiac surgery, orthopedics, and cancer care with $400 million net revenue. The 130-acre campus also includes the Betty Ford Center, Barbara Sinatra Children's Center, and Annenberg Center for Health Sciences. EMC received the 2009 Patient Safety Award as well as the 2009 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence(TM) from HealthGrades(R). EMC continues to expand its regional footprint with the recent opening of the 90,000 square foot Argyros Health Center and will be opening up to nine new ambulatory facilities throughout the valley in the next year. The physician enterprise continues to expand through a growing network of hospital-based 1206(d) clinics to include primary care, orthopedics, cardiology, and neurosurgery. This VP will plan and develop a progressive, innovative vision for the ambulatory division at EMC to include infrastructure development, governance model, and physician recruitment, and directs the move from a hospital-centric organization to a health delivery system. Must have at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience running a multi-specialty medical group, preferably in a hospital-based clinic model in an integrated delivery system.
