Position: Chief Medical Officer
Witt Kieffer has been retained to recruit a Chief Medical Officer for Preferred Health Partners, located in Brooklyn, New York.
Preferred Health Partners (www.brooklyndocs.com/) is a large multispecialty physician practice with approximately $150 million in revenues, 170 physicians, 600 FTEs, and 12 locations. Most of their revenue is derived from a capitated contract with EmblemHealth members; however, they accept patients from twenty four other plans along with Medicare.
Preferred Health Partners (PHP) is a not-for-profit, community-based healthcare organization whose primary service area includes Brooklyn, New York, a borough of New York City. Preferred Health Physicians and medical teams are located across 12 separate health centers in Brooklyn. The group currently provides medical care in over 30 different medical specialties.
PHP's patients receive all of their primary and specialty medical services and tests under one roof. Other healthcare providers, such as midwives, health educators, physical therapists, social workers, nutritionists and physician assistants are also available through PHP. The organization places strong emphasis on primary care, patient education and preventive medicine. In addition, PHP has the capacity to provide sophisticated, diverse specialty care when necessary.
The Chief Medical Officer of PHP will direct the clinical activities of PHP and oversee the medical staff to ensure delivery of high quality, cost effective care. The Chief Medical Officer of PHP reports directly to PHP's Board of Directors, and works collaboratively with the Chief Administrative Officer, Andrew Mintz and the Chairman of the Board, Lesly Kernisant, M.D.
The position ensures that PHP's operating infrastructure supports the organization's goals to provide efficient and seamless operations, and to promote clinical quality.
