
Position: Finance Director
An exciting opportunity exists to serve in a leadership role for the development of a new Medical Foundation sponsored by Stanford Hospital & Clinics (Palo Alto, CA). The Foundation will be developed through the integration of several medical practices and is currently looking for an experienced finance executive to oversee all financial and fiduciary aspects of the new organization.
As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for financial planning, medical group compensation, medical billing/collections, budgets and capital budgets, compliance, and accounting, accounts payable and purchasing. Additionally, you'll oversee timekeeping and payroll, vendor, supply chain and contract management, establishing systems and reporting to measure physician productivity and financial performance, and financial support and analysis associated with the valuation, pro forma, business plans and compensation modeling associated with new practice acquisitions.
We require a Master's degree or equivalent, CPA or MBA and 5-10 years of related experience. Must have experience in strategic planning and execution, knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, including GAAP, and a background with financial and accounting reporting systems and federal/state financial regulations. Ability to analyze data and find trends and high proficiency in Excel are essential, as are strong financial skills, specifically the ability to financially analyze data for operations, budgeting, auditing and forecasting. Basic accounting knowledge and AR and reserve analysis, marketing analysis and staffing/financial reporting skills are necessary. Medical foundation experience is preferred.
