Position: President, Specialty Medical Group Central California, Inc.
The Specialty Medical Group Central California, Inc. (SMG), is seeking a President and Medical Director (President). Reporting to the SMG Board of Directors and to the Children's Hospital Central California Chief Executive Officer, the President provides clinical and administrative leadership to this 80+ pediatric medical group. The President oversees all operational and financial matters of the group, develops processes to monitor and enhance clinical outcomes and quality of care and aligns the culture and strategic vision of the group with that of Children's Hospital.
Candidates must be board certified in pediatrics or a pediatric sub-specialty, be eligible for medical license in California and have an MBA or equivalent. Successful candidates will have at least five years of experience in group practice management affiliated with a pediatric children's hospital. Candidates must have experience in a managed care environment, be able to develop and implement a physician compensation system and physician evaluation system, have an ability to build consensus and work in a team setting. Excellent communication and leadership skills are critical.
Madera, California is located in the heart of the Central Valley and the Central Sierras. Madera is a short drive to three national parks-Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia.
