AMGA Awards
To help foster and reward quality improvement efforts and
distinguished work in the medical group environment, AMGA has
developed the following awards. Award winners are showcased at our national
conferences, featured on our Web site, and written up in best
practice compendiums.
Acclaim
Award: Annually, the
American
Medical Group Foundation rewards physician-directed
organizations that achieve exceptional results through quality and
outcome improvement efforts. The Grand Prize Recipient will be
presented with a $50,000 educational grant along with a crystal
award designed by Steuben. Up to three honorees each will receive a
$10,000 grant. In addition, a $20,000 grant may be awarded to a
medical group not supported by an integrated delivery system or
research foundation.
Medical Group Preeminence Award: AMGA presents this award
annually to member groups physician-administrator leadership teams
for exceptional leadership; innovation and vision; contributions to
the advancement of quality; effective healthcare delivery practices
and structure; and outstanding contributions to the local public
community in which the medical group is located.
Distinguished Corporate Partner Award: AMGA presents this award
annually to non-medical group organizations for providing excellent
service and value to medical group practices. This year we chose to
honor two organizations that have been distinguished and avid
supporters of the association and its members-both are deserving of
this award which demonstrates our appreciation of their continued
support.
Russel V. Lee Lectureship: Given to an individual who, in the
opinion of the Board, has provided outstanding service to the group
practice of medicine
