AMGF’s mission is to provide patients with quality healthcare that is cost-effective and enhances patient outcomes. To fulfill this mission, the AMGF annually sponsors the Acclaim Award, AMGA’s most prestigious quality award that honors physician-directed organizations that bring the American healthcare system closer to the ideal healthcare system.

This award honors organizations that have embraced the Institute of Medicine’s aims for an ideal healthcare system and have demonstrated dramatic, measurable progress moving their organizations toward one of more of the aims. Most importantly, these proven models are shared with the medical community to advance the quality improvement cycle.

The diversity and breadth of the initiatives continues to redefine the frontiers of quality patient care – clinically, technologically, organizationally, systemically and ethically.
