The American Medical Group Foundation (AMGF)

The American Medical Group Foundation (AMGF) is the philanthropic arm of the American Medical Group Association. The Foundation’s mission is predicated on the belief that the system in which care is delivered does make a difference and is dedicated to demonstrating to the industry that the total coordinated care model continues to provide the highest quality, cost-effective, efficient care possible. As a nonprofit 501(c) 3, its mission is to foster quality improvement in group practice through education and research programs in clinical quality, patient safety, service, operational efficiency and innovation.

In 2005, the Foundation was revitalized and a renewed focus was dedicated to expanding the diversity and breadth of its initiatives, such as those highlighted below, that continue to define the frontiers of quality care – clinically, technologically, organizationally, systematically and ethically. Serving as the champion of multispecialty groups, these programs are part of AMGF’s increasing efforts to ensure the multispecialty’s group model of total coordinated care remains the model of excellence and provides patients with the high-quality, cost-effective care they so desperately need, want and deserve.
