Education

The goal of the American Medical Group Association’s Education department is to respond to the educational needs of medical group physicians and non-physicians in leadership positions. AMGA strives to offer educational activities, which enable its members to remain current and respond to advances in medical care, including patient satisfaction, outcomes measurement, legislative and regulatory developments, financial, administrative and operational issues. We offer our membership annual conferences, regional meetings, and distance learning activities to keep our leaders informed and aware of the issues, processes and solutions affecting the provision of quality, coordinated patient care by medical groups.

AMGA’s Annual Conference: The annual conference of the American Medical Group Association will once again bring together the leaders of the nation’s health care organizations to participate in a dynamic meeting with intriguing general sessions, peer-led track sessions and unparalleled networking opportunities where you can learn from your peers the solutions they’ve developed to the challenges your organization is facing today.

Educational Activities/Meetings: In addition to AMGA’s Annual Conference, the association also provides several regional meetings and activities on various topics from leadership to quality improvement initiatives.

Distance Learning: AMGA understands the time constraints felt by physician and non-physician administrators. We’ve partnered with organizations to bring you distance learning activities such as Telenet, CD-ROMs, and Video Series to keep your organization informed!

Publications: Physician and non-physician leaders are able to keep up to date with the aid of the Group Practice Journal, AMGA’s Advocacy Enews, and other resources.

Continuing Medical Education: View AMGA’s CME Mission Statement, list of CME activities and how to receive CME credit.
