Creating High-Performing Care Organizations
Journey to an Accountable Care Organization
2010 Northwest Regional Meeting
Seattle, Washington
June 4, 2010
Hosted by Group Health Permanente
Supported by Novo Nordisk
This meeting is part of AMGA’s series of meetings focusing on the “Journey to an Accountable Care Organization (ACO).” At these meetings, AMGA will bring together the leaders of high-performing healthcare delivery systems to present their case studies and educate medical group leaders on how an accountable care organization (ACO) is defined and how your medical group can become one. The series culminates at the Institute for Quality Leadership: AMGA National Summit on ACOs, Sept. 29 - Oct 1, 2010, in Hollywood, Florida.
For this meeting, we are pleased to have AMGA’s President and CEO, Don Fisher, keynote the meeting by taking us through history and definition of ACOs and AMGA’s role in advocating for them in the health reform process. Don will be followed by presentations from four leaders in ACO development in the Northwest Region. These four groups will discuss their experiences in creating accountable care organizations, including lessons learned in leadership, building culture, organizational Initiatives, care redesign, and identifying and overcoming barriers.
We are also pleased to offer a special networking opportunity – we have secured a block of 24 seats at the Seattle Mariners game at 7:00 p.m. on June 3 (vs. Minnesota). Seats are limited so please respond quickly to secure your spot. Seats will be given on a first come, first serve basis
