AMGA is bringing together high-performing healthcare delivery systems to educate medical group leaders on how an accountable care organization (ACO) is defined and how medical groups can become one. The series of regional meetings will feature innovators from our membership presenting their case studies and will culminate in the fall at AMGA’s Institute for Quality Leadership, subtitled the “AMGA National Summit on ACOs.”
These meetings will address topics such as implementing care coordination best practices, aligning governance, structure, and incentives, and establishing performance improvement, measurement, and monitoring systems to become a high-performing care organization that could qualify as an ACO.

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.	Site Visit and Welcome Event-Premiere Medical Plaza Premier Medical Plaza, is a new 128,000 square foot outpatient medical facility created as a joint venture between Cornerstone Healthcare and High Point Regional Health System. This shining new facility is a working example of physician/hospital integration, providing a wide range of healthcare services in the High Point, NC region. Following this tour, Cornerstone and AMGA will host a networking reception to welcome our attendees.
