Southwest Regional Meeting - California

Continuing the Journey to ACOs

2011 Southwest Regional Meeting - California
San Diego, California
June 24, 2011

Supported by Abbott Laboratories and CodeRyte, Inc.

Under the theme, "Better Care/Better Health/Better Value," AMGA is continuing the exploration of the ACO model in 2011 with a series of regional meetings which will explore the commercial payer perspective on ACOs, including pilot programs already in place in several regions.  Additionally, the meetings will examine clinical integration and compensation alignment strategies that can move your organization from concept to implementation.

While the recently released ACO Regulation fall short of creating an appropriate and achievable framework for the creation of ACOs for Medicare patients, AMGA believes strongly that we will see many changes in the regulations after the comment period.  We also maintain that opportunities are growing in the commercial sector and with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
