Pre-conference 1
Improving the Patient Experience: Creative Services to WOW Your
Customers
Institute for Quality Leadership Semi-annual Meeting
In today’s competitive healthcare markets it isn’t enough to
provide quality care. Healthcare organizations are realizing that
they need creative ways to make sure all of their
customers—patients, patients’ families, referring physicians,
payers, and others—are completely satisfied with every touch point
no matter who they interact with in the organization. Learn how
borrowing lessons learned from the automotive industry, selecting
the right technologies, collaborating with the community, maximizing
care teams, and employing new forms of patient appointments can all
contribute to happy and loyal patients and translate into revenue
growth.
Pre-conference 2
The EMR Continuum: Navigating the Process from Vendor Selection to
Data-Driven Improvement
This pre-conference will explore the impact of electronic medical
records on modern healthcare delivery. Medical groups will share
their strategies and stories—from selecting the right system and
partners to overcoming cultural, technical, operational, human
resource, and management challenges for successful implementation,
including transitioning to new vendors. In addition, the
pre-conference will detail the expansion of technology into the
ambulatory setting, incorporating digital imaging into the EMR, and
the use of data to drive clinical and operational quality.
Pre-conference 3
Survival Strategies: The New Age of Integration
In response to the rising number of challenges to the medical group
model, an increasing number of physician organizations are
reexamining their relationships with their hospital(s). What
they are finding is that there are mutually beneficial opportunities
for growth and financial viability through collaborative
arrangements. This pre-conference workshop will examine case
studies from five organizations who have taken different approaches
to collaboration ranging from joint ventures, to hospital ownership,
to full integration.
