The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) represents medical groups and organized systems of care, including some of the nation’s largest, most prestigious integrated healthcare delivery systems.
More than 102,000 physicians practice in AMGA member organizations, providing healthcare services for 105 million patients in 49 states (nearly one in three Americans).
Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, AMGA is the strategic partner for these organizations, providing a comprehensive package of benefits, including political advocacy, educational and networking programs, publications, benchmarking data services, and financial and operations assistance.
Our Mission
The American Medical Group Association improves health care for
patients by supporting multispecialty medical groups and other organized
systems of care.
Our Vision
Multispecialty medical groups and other organized systems of care
will be the preferred delivery system for patient-centered, coordinated,
efficient, quality health care.
What We Value
AMGA has six major values that drive our work and contribute to our
culture:
The management structure of AMGA embraces the physician/administrator team concept reflecting the views of both medicine and management. The Association emphasizes the role of governance and sound management in the success of its member groups and in its own operations.
