
To help foster and reward quality improvement efforts and distinguished work in the medical group environment, AMGA has developed the following awards. Award winners are showcased at our national conferences, featured on our website, and written up in best practice compendiums.
Acclaim Award: AMGA's most prestigious quality award, presented annually by the American Medical Group Foundation, honoring physician-directed organizations that bring the American healthcare system closer to a delivery model in which patients experience care that is safer, more reliable, more responsive, more integrated, and more readily available.
Medical Group Preeminence Award: Presented annually to member groups’ physician-administrator leadership teams for exceptional leadership; innovation and vision; contributions to the advancement of quality; effective healthcare delivery practices and structure; and outstanding contributions to the local public community in which the medical group is located.
Distinguished Corporate Partner Award: Presented annually to a member of the AMGA Corporate Partner Program for providing excellent service and value to medical groups and health systems and the communities they serve.
Russel V. Lee Lectureship: Given to an individual who, in the opinion of the Board, has provided outstanding service to the group practice of medicine.
Congressional Advocacy Award: Presented to a medical group or organized system of care that demonstrates outstanding efforts as an advocate for medical groups on Capitol Hill.
Congressional Leadership Award: Presented annually to a member of congress who provides exemplary leadership in transforming the healthcare delivery system, improving quality care, increasing access, and recognizing the important role that multispecialty medical groups and other organized systems of care play in providing quality, coordinated care to patients.
