Community Outreach Activity: Weekend Food Backpacks
Thursday, March 28
In the United States, more than one out of six children live in a food insecure household, which means they do not always know where they’ll find their next meal. Hunger has a negative effect on children’s ability to learn, and on their overall health, leading to developmental delays and challenges that will follow them into adulthood. As a means to help alleviate food insecurity, AMGA is partnering with a local charity that will provide weekend food to children and families, so they can return to school on Monday prepared for success.

AMGA conference attendees are invited to support this charity event by spending time assembling these care bags on Thursday, March 28.
